Scan Tailor - post-processing tool for scanned pages   

If you need to process scanned documents or books you face ugly output: – black borders – more than one pages on image – skewed pages – unnecessary margins…

To fix it page by page in image editing software takes incredible amount of time. Other option is to use Scan Tailor.

Easily you can fix most common problems of scanned pictures in several steps. Auto detection for each step is very good therefore manual improving was not need usually in my case.

Quality of this solution could be supported by information that Scan Tailor was used in Google Books project.

BTW: Scan Tailor is open source and available for Windows and GNU/Linux versions.
